Sunscreen / Bug Spray
PLEASE make sure you and guests spray any products including sunscreen and bug-spray outside of the cottage to avoid getting it on the walls and floor.
Mosquito Catchers
There are 3 ‘buzz be gone’ lights that you can turn on at night to help attract mosquitos that may have got in the cottage.
They charge with a usb plug (should be one beside the door).
These are in the living room on the shelf beside the fireplace - you just have to turn the top and the blue light comes on).
Please keep doors closed after going in and out so the bugs don’t get in (especially at night).
-
You are welcome to stay in the bunkie.
There is a queen bed in there but no running water or toilet so make sure the door to the cottage stays unlocked if the bathroom is needed.
The light switch at the back door will turn a path light on in front of the bunkie.
-
We do have a fire pit with a drum -
Please bring your own firewood if you want to have fires - we do have some wood next to the fire pit however this is for our personal use.
You can use sticks from around the property but please leave the wood under the tarp it takes a lot of work to cut and stack this wood and we do not want to come up to an empty wood pile!
The fire pit is next to the beach area in between the cottage and the boat house (across from the bunkie).
Please only have fires here- you are welcome to use it if there is not a fire ban on.
You can check this website : https://www.gbtownship.ca/en/living-here/current-fire-rating.aspx
Please make sure you have the hose (at the side/ back of the cottage or a bucket of water near by and make sure the fire is completely extinguished before going to bed).
There are chairs at the fire pit for you to use.
-
There is a clothes line off the deck where the BBQ’s are at the side of the cottage.
